The Seacoast of New Hampshire is a historically rich region that dates back to the 1630's. Portsmouth NH, because of its position at the mouth of the Piscataqua River, has been a hub of economic activity since the Colonial period in American history.

The region is home to military forts, lighthouses and many historic houses noted for their previous owners, architectural quality or events that happened within.
